Piney Woods Film Festival (PWFF) Copyright Notice


COPYRIGHT; CONTENT REQUIREMENT VIOLATIONS; BREACH OF AGREEMENT — You are solely responsible for securing all rights and clearances for any music, video, images, graphics, or other intellectual property included in your submission. If PWFF is contacted by any party (e.g., a record company, publisher, or rights holder) regarding a copyright issue with your entry, we will refer that party directly to you. Be sure to obtain all necessary licenses and clearances prior to submission.

If you believe any content presented at PWFF, or listed on www.PineyWoodsFilmFestival.org, infringes upon the copyright or rights of another party, or violates any agreement or terms, please notify us via email at:

PWFF Copyright Infringement Notification

To report a copyright violation involving content on our website or presented at PWFF, please send a written notice to:

Please include the following:

  1. Signature: A scanned physical or valid electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  2. Work Identification: Clearly identify the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If your notice involves multiple works, include a representative list.
  3. Material Identification: Identify the specific material that is alleged to be infringing and provide information (e.g., URLs) that will help us locate the content quickly.
  4. Contact Information: Your full name, physical address, phone number, and email address.
  5. Good Faith Statement: A declaration that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy Statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Upon receiving a valid notice, PWFF will remove or disable access to the infringing content. Please be advised that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents a claim of infringement may be liable for damages.


Copyright Counter-Notification

If you believe content you submitted was wrongly removed due to a misidentification or mistake, you may file a counter-notification only if you hold the appropriate rights to the content.

Include the following in your counter-notification:

  1. URLs: Identify the specific URLs of the material that was removed or disabled.
  2. Your Contact Info: Full name, physical address, phone number, and email.
  3. Jurisdiction Statement:
    “I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district in which my address is located, or if my address is outside the United States, the judicial district in which PWFF is located, and I will accept service of process from the claimant.”
  4. Good Faith Statement:
    “I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification.”
  5. Signature: A scanned physical or valid electronic signature.
